Permanent video light
Ordinary fluorescent lights are not suitable for video shooting. They get very hot and change the color temperature, which negatively affects the picture in the frame. Among lens lights, Fresnel lens devices are popular. It collects all the light in a beam and at the same time gives soft borders. Such lens lighting gives the famous "cine", "Hollywood" light, which is sought today not only by videographers, but also by photographers. For film production, many manufacturers create Fresnel light. For example, the Arri company has been producing such lighting equipment for a long time.
Arri lens luminaires produce soft, high power light with neatly blended shadows and light spot borders. And also almost the same light pattern, which is then obtained with pulsed light.
However, such a light is expensive, heavy and inconvenient to transport. It requires racks, cranes, fasteners. Only top photographers can afford to own such equipment for photo shoots and video shooting. Therefore, the vast majority resorts to renting lens and lensless, pulsed and constant light.
Colorful temperature. Halogen lamps give warm light and have a color temperature of 3200 K, while HMI lamps with 5600 K give a cool, white light. Conversion filters equalize the color temperature with respect to the pulsed light.
LED lamps have power and color temperature controls. Also, LEDs are small in size and easy to transport, they can be used for video shooting outdoors.
Pulsed light sources
Pulse studio light has a high power. Power is measured in joules (J).
Creates short bursts of light, often featured in photo studios. In fact, this is a lamp on a tripod. Two types of lamps are placed in the device: a pilot light for determining the cut-off pattern and a pulsed light with 2-3 electrodes. Pulsed light has a power of 50 to 2500 joules. Synchronizers are usually used to control lighting equipment.
There are two types of pulsed light - monoblocks and generators. Monoblocks are more common, they come in various capacities. As a rule, they work from the network. A monoblock is more powerful than an on-camera flash; various light modifiers go to it: honeycombs, a beauty dish, softboxes, and so on.
Pulsed light generators are more powerful, more expensive, and can work autonomously. The power of a studio generator can reach 6400 joules, but 1600 joules, 2400 joules and 3200 joules are most commonly used.
Light filters are used to change the color of light, they are usually translucent sheets. They eat some light.
Mobile light - small light sources that are convenient to take with you. They are battery powered and come in a variety of colors. In Kinoarenda they are presented in the form of RetLight lamps.
